My first robot arm. Built from scratch with no electronics or programming experience and a lot of iteration.

Overview

This was my first robotic arm. I started with no experience in electronics, programming, and minimal experience in CAD. Everything was built from scratch through a lot of iterations and failures, until it worked.

The arm was modeled in Onshape and printed on a Bambu Lab printer. An Arduino running C++ drives servo and stepper motors through motor drivers with joysticks and buttons for control.

Result

A working arm, a foundation in electronics and embedded C++, and the design experience that made Robot Arm 2.0 possible.
